I know that many of you received the email last week about Summer 2020 being a GO!  There were so many people working so hard behind the scenes to make all options EXCELLENT for Summer 2020 regardless of what it looked like, but we are so thankful that we get to open at the end of the month!!!

All of that being said, I want to give you a little insight about what will be happening (and what will not be happening) on the Kanakuk Alumni front this summer.

For starters, I am sad to say, our First Annual Kanakuk Alumni 4th of July Reunion will be a no for 2020. After much thought and many discussions, we have decided to postpone. I want our first reunion to be beyond YOUR wildest dreams and that just can’t happen this summer. With all of the COVID restrictions, we wouldn’t be able to be on Kamp property, and I don’t just want to do a random get-together in Branson. So, please mark your calendars IN SHARPIE for 4th of July weekend 2021 and get your hotels booked now because we will be having the best reunion ever!

Please know that we WILL be having the reunion in Dallas on Friday night, September 25 if all is “normal” in the world again this fall. It was a great event last year with so many connections and so much laughter, and I am excited to repeat that evening! More details to follow.

And, this summer we WILL be having the Alumni Dinners for drop off and pick up! I loved these last year, and I am excited to do them again! All dinners are at Cantina Laredo on the Landing, and I need you to RSVP to me (either FB message or jamiejo@kanakuk.com) three days prior to the dinner so that I can make reservations. Everyone picks up his/her own check, and we laugh and enjoy telling stories and catching up. The dates and times are:

  • June 11th @7:00 p.m.
  • June 13th @6:00 p.m.
  • June 25th @7:00 p.m.
  • June 27 @6:00 p.m.
  • July 9 @7:00 p.m.

  • August 6 @7:00 p.m.

I cannot wait to see many of you this summer and/or in September AND NEXT JULY!!!!  Please mark your calendars and let me know when I will get to see y’all! Thanks!
